The CNCDA Foundation is a 501c (3) non-profit dedicated to promoting career pathways to create highly skilled automotive service professionals throughout California, with a network of 1,300+ California dealerships.

California’s automotive industry is a $153 billion sector, vital to the economy, generating significant tax revenue and numerous job opportunities. There is a critical shortage of skilled automotive technicians due to educational reforms, an aging workforce, and outdated perceptions of the profession.

The vision of the CNCDA Foundation is to be a catalyst for change, a convenor and community partner to generate interest and advance auto tech as a career choice through increased engagement in our programs.

Addressing the skills gap requires improving industry perception, expanding training programs, providing financial support, and overcoming regulatory challenges. Together, we can close the skills gap and create rewarding career pathways in the automotive industry.
